Rheumatology Medicine

Rheumatology is the specialty of Internal Medicine which deals with the many diseases which cause arthritis or related musculoskeletal conditions. Some of these conditions may affect only the musculoskeletal system and others may affect other parts of the body. The rheumatologist is trained in the proper evaluation of the history, performance of the examination, and evaluation and interpretation of x-rays and laboratory studies that may be necessary to diagnose and manage these diseases.
