Biography: Dr. Belniak served as the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Hospital of Central Connecticut from 2000 – 2010. He has introduced numerous minimally invasive orthopaedic procedures to the New Britain community including shoulder arthroscopy and arthroscopic reconstruction of the ACL. He specializes in athletic injuries of the knee, shoulder and elbow and instructs other orthopaedic surgeons in shoulder repairs at The Orthopaedic Learning Center in Illinois. He also treats arthritis of the knee and shoulder, and was one of the first local surgeons to use cartilage transplantation techniques, partial knee replacement and the reverse total shoulder arthroplasty for severe rotator cuff disease. He has served as a team physician for both local and professional college and high school athletic programs. He recently completed his first surgical mission to the third world.
