Dr. Norwood is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is also a graduate of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Norwood comes to Grove Hill Medical Center from service in the U.S. Navy where he was the Chief of Dermatology at the National Navy Medical Center NNMC, Assistant Residency Program Director at NCC and Assistant Professor of Dermatology Laser and Phototherapy at NNMC and provided Dermatologcial care to active duty military, retirees, congressional delegates and foreign diplomats to the U.S. Congress.
Dr. Norwood has authored articles in Dermatology journals and presented at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Norwood has interest in Laser medicine and Photodynamic therapy. He is a member of the Task Force on Bioterroism of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Norwood has been the recipient of Academic Achievement Awards throughout his medical career with the U.S. Navy.
