Dr. Pennington is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey Medical School. He completed his postgraduate training at the National Navy Medical Center (NNMC) in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Pennington also received training in Aerospace Medicine in Pensacola, Florida and was a Flight Surgeon at Naval Station Key West.
Dr. Pennington comes to Grove Hill Medical Center from service in the U.S. Navy at the NNMC in Bethesda, MD where he was a Staff Dermatologist and a Director of Laser and Phototherapy.
As a Staff Dermatologist at NNMC, Dr. Pennington was directly involved in the training of 15 resident dermatologists; provided dermatological care to active duty military, retirees, congressional delegates and foreign diplomats to the U.S. Congress, and was deployed on the USNS Comfort during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. Pennington is published in the dermatological literature and frequently lectured at the National Capital Area Consortium and the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences where he was an Assistant Professor.
