Dr Stein was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Philadelphia and, later, Rhode Island. He attended college at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a degree in engineering. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and completed an internship in general surgery and residency in urology, all at Yale School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr Stein practices all aspects of general urology, with a particular interest in minimally invasive alternatives to traditional procedures, such as laparoscopic nephrectomy, robotic prostatectomy, Greenlight Laser photovaporization of the prostate and No Needle, No Scalpel vasectomy. Other areas of interest include male infertility, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction and male urinary incontinence.
Dr Stein currently lives in West Hartford with his wife and three children.
