What We Do
Grove Hill’s corporate mission is to be the premier health care provider in central Connecticut, providing the highest quality of care while safeguarding patients’ rights, privacy, and dignity. Our strategy to achieve this lofty goal involves a number of methods. First, we believe it is important to provide “comprehensive” health care to you and your family. By definition that means having a medical staff with a wide range of specialties, a full complement of support services, and an adequate number of easily accessible facilities to meet the needs of our patients. We begin by establishing a core base of talented primary care physicians: nineteen (19) Internal Medicine physicians, seven (7) Pediatricians, and ten (10) Obstetrician/Gynecologists. All are Board Certified by their respective speciality review panels. When the primary care physician feels the need to refer the patient to a specialty trained colleague, Grove Hill’s medical staff is there to answer the call. We provide an extensive range of specialty care services, including Allergy, Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine, Otolaryngology (ENT), Pain Management (Interventional), Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine, Rheumatology, Surgery (General and Vascular), and Urology. All physicians are either Board Certified or Board Eligible and enjoy an enviable level of excellence within the medical community. The physicians are supported by ancillary services and trained professional staff in order to provide a superior experience for the patient. Grove Hill maintains its own State licensed high complexity laboratory with multiple, convenient specimen drawing stations. Grove Hill Radiology is capable of performing not only routine x-rays, ultrasounds, and mammograms, but it’s MRI and CT Scan divisions employ state of the art equipment and highly trained technicians to provide superior service in a comfortable environment. In addition, Grove Hill has a busy Physical Therapy Department staffed by licensed Physical Therapists, a full-service Optical Shop, and a Balance Center within the ENT department. Grove Hill has easily accessible facilities in New Britain, Newington, Cromwell, Plainville, Southington. Several of our specialty care physicians maintain satellite offices in Bristol as well. To better serve the needs of our patients, evening and Saturday office hours are available at several of our sites. Our physicians are on the active medical staff of The Hospital of Central Connecticut, and several of our specialty practices also maintain affiliations with UConn/Dempsey Hospital and Bristol Hospital. Grove Hill Medical Center intends to continue its long history of growth and innovation. We have recently completed construction of a new Urology suite. Grove Hill physicians are using a computerized medical record system in order to access information timely and efficiently from any location. We were the first site in central Connecticut to install digital mammography, and our computerized radiology archiving system allows for immediate access of images by any of our physicians.
